Cosmetics are not something that is solely a feminine product. More and more people are realizing the use of male makeup to hide flaws and give the appearance of an even skin tone. When applying makeup, you will want to try to blend it in properly so that no one can see the makeup on your face.
Here are some tips that you can use to help accentuate your best features without getting caught with makeup remnants visible:
Blending Is Your Friend
The main thing that you should be aware of is that blending is the secret to hiding makeup. The more you use a makeup brush to sweep the makeup around, the better. You will want to cover up any visible makeup lines as you apply the product.
Concealer
The first thing that you should apply to your face is a concealing product. You would use this to cover any blemishes that are visible. Concealer is a makeup that comes in a stick form, sort of like a lipstick. It is skin tone in color. Try to match the color to your regular skin tone as closely as possible.
Dab a bit of concealer on any red areas of the skin, as well as any portion that you would like to hide, such as wrinkles, freckles, or age marks. You can use your fingertips to try to blend the makeup into your skin. Make sure that it is well blended around the sides of your face so there is no visible makeup line.
Another area that you may wish to use concealer on is under the eyes to cover up any dark spots. Dab a spot under each eye and blend outward toward your ears. You can add some concealer to the bridge of your nose to add highlights.
Power Makeup
After adding concealer, you will want to use a powder makeup in a slightly lighter coloring to add highlights to the areas you have already used concealer. Power makeup can make your skin look more natural. The oil in the concealer adds a bit of shine, and the powder will tone this down, while adding a little more color. Brush the powder lightly over the areas where you had used the concealer and blend in well using a makeup brush.
Eyebrow Pencil
You can use an eyebrow pencil in a shade darker than your real hair color to color in the eyebrow area if you would like your eyebrows to look a bit prominent. Use sparingly to lightly draw over your existing eyebrows and use a fingertip to smudge color gently.
